This site is about my AI-assisted journey to financial independence and living well along the way.
Financial independence (FI) means having enough invested money to cover your expenses, so work becomes optional. The basic idea is simple: spend less than you earn, invest the difference, and repeat over time.
A common rule of thumb is the 4% rule:
$40,000 per year ÷ 4% = $1,000,000
So, $1 million can support a $40k lifestyle.
But the number is only part of the story. The more important question is:
What kind of life are you trying to fund?
Optimising for money without optimising for life does not make sense to me.
That’s where my dog, Billie, comes in.
Dogs are clear about what matters. They prioritise love, simplicity, and presence. I want these values to be a compass.
I also want to explore modern tools, especially AI, on the journey.
This is not financial advice.
This is a place to share ideas, learn in public, and connect with others doing the same.
If in doubt, refer to dog.
